New housing development on Brendstrupgårdsvej
iIn Skejby, between Brendstrupgårdsvej and Margrethediget, there are plans to build seven properties, consisting mainly of small homes.
The site was previously zoned for commercial use, and back in 2000, TDC Internet had plans to construct a large building on this site, and to connect it to the existing buildings on the other side of the listed Margrethediget via a glass-covered suspension bridge.
However, the plans were shelved when TDC Internet ceased to exist as an independent public limited company in 2002.
In 2004, work began on a local plan with the aim of rezoning the area from a commercial zone to a residential zone, and the first local plan (749) was adopted in 2005.
At the end of 2007, a further local plan (817) was adopted, adding another plot to the residential area, bringing the total number of properties that can be built to seven.
According to the developer, the flats will be architect-designed and built using high-quality materials.
The first five properties will comprise two-bedroom flats measuring 60–70 square metres. All will have a private balcony, and as a special feature, a large communal balcony with a spa will be built...
According to the local plan, the final two properties may contain “approximately 74 homes of varying
sizes”.
