Homes on Ceres Allé and along the Århus Å

Aarhus City Council has long wanted more housing for older people in the city centre, and a site has now been designated for this purpose.

The area is beautifully situated down by the stream and is close to the town centre. The Godsbane site, with its future new neighbourhood, lies just on the other side of the stream and Carl Blochs Gade.i

On a vacant, industrial-style site right next to the Aarhus River, there are plans to construct a 10-storey building comprising care homes and standard housing, alongside shops and a nursery.
This mixed-use development is intended to bring diversity and a sense of vitality throughout the day.

In total, there will be space for 10,000 square metres of floor area, divided between 48 homes for the elderly and approximately 40 standard residential units.

The site is divided partly for the house and partly for a number of communal garden areas, including a playground for the nursery.i
