About T-shirts and the Skanderborg Festival
iThis year marks my third time at Skanderborg, and I’d got so carried away with a daft idea that I just had to go through with it.
The idea is that every day I’ll wear a T-shirt with that day’s personally selected programme printed on the front – nothing too fancy, just a bit of fun…
Anyway, no sooner said than done… I had a quick Google and didn’t find a huge range of online T-shirt printers, so I popped down to Huset in Aarhus, where you can get creative in all sorts of ways…
The result was almost a whole day’s work using the noble art of screen printing. The process involves many steps, including photoemulsion, a darkroom, UV light, a high-pressure cleaner and, of course, paint...
At the end of it all, I ended up with four rather nice T-shirts, each with a programme printed on the front... So it should be a bit more likely that I’ll get to hear what I want this year...
Photos will, of course, be uploaded to the website depending on my level of sobriety and my mobile battery...
