Project SolPorten is small by necessity. Its members cannot separate scientific interpretation from field decisions: the archaeologist activates machinery, the physicist negotiates with custodians, the linguist carries intelligence orders and the engineer becomes legible to ancient systems. Liv’s arrival turns an expedition into a contested political unit. Vidar’s arrival turns it into the front line of an older war.
