Project SolPorten

A Bronze Age object, a buried installation and the reopening of a stellar network thought lost for more than three thousand years.

Project SolPorten begins with a conservation scan of the Trundholm Sun Chariot, Solvognen. The real object was found at Trundholm Mose in 1902 and dates to the Early Bronze Age, around 1400 BC. Its horse and wheeled sun image have long represented the sun's journey. In the fictional record, multispectral imaging reveals a second layer: relationships among the spirals, six wheels and two faces of the disk form an operating sequence.

The discovery

The sequence points to Stevns Klint. Beneath a decommissioned Cold War installation, investigators find a circular platform of fitted stone. Solvognen is placed at its centre and exposed to a precise solar angle. The horse moves. A field of concentrated golden light opens, carrying the first team away before collapsing. At the remote destination a marker announces: MIDGARD HAS RETURNED.

The programme

Denmark creates a small classified programme combining archaeology, solar physics, linguistics, engineering and military field operations. Director Birgitte Voss argues that secrecy is the only way to understand the discovery before a larger state takes it. Major Elias Holm commands expeditions. Dr. Freja Madsen leads archaeological interpretation; Dr. Malik Rahbek models stellar mechanics; Signe Lau decodes the command language hidden inside poetry; Rune “Ravn” Petersen keeps modern and recovered systems working.

The destinations correspond to Norse realms, but they are neither supernatural planes nor simple planets. They are surviving components of an engineered interstellar civilisation. The Vanir built its transport network. The Æsir seized it and transformed inherited access into political authority. Their war fragmented the routes, and Earth's gate was buried.

How Solvognen works

  • Golden face: selects routes through living stars.
  • Dark face: reaches extinguished or hidden stars and stored states.
  • Horse: controls movement and governs network energy draw.
  • Six wheels: encode destination coordinates.
  • Spirals: combine destination, season and solar angle.

Central problem

Every expedition appears to increase the project's knowledge. In reality, each successful journey restores another connection. Project SolPorten is not merely exploring a broken network. It is rebuilding one that was deliberately dismantled.
