A tour of Denmark
iOver the past week or so, I’ve been travelling round Denmark, as several of the photos on this page have probably revealed.
First, we drove to Svendborg, where we stayed at a hotel and had a look around the town.
The next morning, we took the ferry to Ærøskøbing to explore Ærø. After exploring the island and booking a room at Rudkøbing Youth Hostel, we headed to Langeland.
We were rather surprised by the number of tents and discovered there was a festival on the island – quite a lovely atmosphere.
The next day, we drove around the island and eventually took the ferry to Tårs, ending up in Nykøbing Falster. There was a festival week on there, and we ended up pitching our tent at a campsite.
The following day, we headed to North Zealand, where we have some friends.
On Friday morning, we took the ferry to Ebeltoft and had a look at the frigate and the town.
Finally, we headed to Viborg, where we’d booked a stay at Niels Bugges Kro.
All in all, a really lovely trip. It was nice, for a change, to see a few more towns in Denmark.
