On Jægergårdsgade in Aarhus, there was once a legendary bodega called Bodega 65. Today, the premises are home to a restaurant that has the potential to become at least as legendary as its predecessor.

Klassisk Bistro is a small restaurant with a dedicated and energetic team and a concise yet varied menu.
Some of the dishes are finished off right at the table by the waiter.

Wine is an important part of the meal at Klassisk Bistro, and the waiters are excellent at advising and finding the best wines to pair with each dish.
All bottles can be ordered by the glass, which is a great advantage when the wine selection is so extensive, and the waiters are quick to suggest different wines to complement the various dishes.

From the menu, we highly recommend their fabulous pepper steak, which is seasoned and flambéed at the table. The meat is coated in a paste of Madagascan pepper that really gets your taste buds tingling. The steak is served with beans, delicious homemade chips, and a sauce so thick it can barely be called liquid.

The place has a relaxed atmosphere, although the waiters do their bit to liven up the small space, with regular bursts of flame at the tables and the sabre-cutting of champagne bottles outside.

Klassisk Bistro ranks among the best restaurants in Aarhus, but in a way all of its own.
