Java games

I used to have a large number of Java games on makr.dk.
These games are no longer being maintained.

100m Dash (Arcade)
How fast can you move the mouse? Put it to the test in this Olympic game.

3D Driver (Action)
A really great 3D game where you have to steer your car around the steep rocky slopes. Be careful not to hit oncoming traffic or the cliff face.

BlackJack (Cards)
If you like Black Jack, this game is just the thing for you. Great graphics and a good user interface.

Table Football (Arcade)
A really good football game! For one or two players. It’s almost like having your own table football game….

Breakout (Arcade)
A rather successful example. Here you can change the colours, adjust the speed and much more.

Cluster (Puzzle)
A very nice 3D version of the good old Tic-Tac-Toe

Concentration 2 (Thoughts)
A new and improved version of Concentration. Click your way through the tiles to find two that match.

Crossection (Arcade)
A fun version of the old game Nebulus, where you have to make your way up a tower by jumping from platform to platform.

Cube (Puzzle)
If you’re one of the few who’ve solved the Rubik’s Cube… CONGRATULATIONS! If not, you can see how to do it here.

Dam (Miscellaneous)
An excellent version of the game Dam. Click with the mouse on the piece you want to move, and select one of the blue squares to move it to.

Defender of the Moon (Action)
As the pilot of a tank, you must defend the base against enemy aircraft. Absolutely superb graphics and great sound!

Dugout (Action)
Don the mole has some uninvited guests in his garden. Help him get rid of them before they kill him.

Eliminator (Puzzle)
This game is a bit like Sokoban, but here you just have to line up the stones in one go to complete the level

FlipPuzzle (Puzzles)
The image is completely jumbled up… By flipping and rotating the individual pieces, you must solve the puzzle

Gophers (Action)
Here’s another game featuring moles. In this one, you simply have to fight the moles instead. Hit them on the head when they pop up.

HiLo (Card)
Bet the money you have in the bank and guess whether the next card will be higher or lower.

Invaders (Arcade)
‘...and God created Invaders, and he saw that it was good...’ I suppose there’s nothing else to say here.

IQ Game (Puzzle)
Move all the pegs around the board until there are none left, or you get stuck.

Iridium (Action)
A really fun game where you have to fly a spaceship through a dangerous meteor shower. The only way to survive is to shoot the meteors or dodge them.

Jatris (Puzzle)
A simple and enjoyable version of the classic Tetris. Better controls than previous Java versions.

Javanoid (Arcade)
Arkanoid is a classic game from the 80s. The concept has been copied countless times. However, this is one of the best.

Jigsaw (Puzzle)
Find the right pieces and drag them onto the game board. Complete the jigsaw puzzle.

Crossword (Puzzles)
A very nice version of an age-old game. Type in the missing word and move down to the next square using the down arrow key.

Moonraid (Action)
A very entertaining game where you fly your spaceship through gates on an alien planet. As if that weren’t enough, you also have to shoot down UFOs along the way.

Moonstar (Thoughts)
An interesting mix of Tetris and Nibbles. You’ve got to try this game!

Nib (Arcade)
Beat your friend in this two-player version of Nibbles. Quite fun.

Nibbly (Puzzle)
A brilliant game from one of Denmark’s best Java game programmers, Karsten Mandrup Nielsen. Eat all the fruit on the level, but avoid hitting yourself.

NoHats (Miscellaneous)
A fun little game by Christian Hvid from Denmark. Help the little chap navigate the level and avoid the hats.

Pacman (Arcade)
Pacman is the king of arcade games... You simply MUST give this one a go.

Ping Pong (Arcade)
This is a real classic... One of the first popular computer games, and it’s still just as good.

Rocks (Action)
Hundreds of rocks are raining down on your base. Shoot them down before they hit you.

Rush (Tanks)
Rush hour has arrived, and it’s utter chaos! Help this poor little red Volkswagen out of the traffic jam!

ShootIt (Action)
As a gunner, it’s your job to smash the castle in front of you. Click and drag with the mouse, and let the bullets fly.

Skeet Shooting (Miscellaneous)
Karsten Mandrup Nielsen is back in action. A brilliant new game with a high score where you have to shoot clay pigeons and small animals.

Push Game (Puzzle)
Move the pieces around in this fun game to complete the picture.

Battleships (Action)
A lovely classic. Play against the computer and see if you can sink its battleships.

Snakepit (Miscellaneous)
The now very well-known Snakepit, from Nokia mobiles, amongst others. Guide the snake around the screen using the arrow keys and eat all the mice.

Soccer (Miscellaneous)
A fun game where you have to control a football team around the screen with your mouse and score goals...

Sokoban (Puzzle)
A classic puzzle game that really puts you to the test. Push all the stones over the markers and complete the levels.

Tailgunner (Action)
It’s your job to shoot down all the planes before they get the chance to attack you. Great graphics and fantastic sound make this game truly special.

TankGame (Action)
This game is one of the absolute classics. Play with up to 4 players against each other and smash the others’ tanks.

The 15 Puzzle (Puzzles)
The well-known plastic game from the 80s is now back in Java format. If you’ve ever wondered how to solve it, help is also available here.

TopNibbles (Miscellaneous)
Another brilliant two-player game. Control the two snakes around the screen and try to trap each other, whilst eating the numbers on the board.

Torpedo (Action)
You control a submarine that has been sent out to protect the relief boats from enemy ships. A tip: Don’t shoot the dolphin...

Trekkieroids (Action)
Take control of the spacecraft and clear the meteor fragments before they hit you. Watch out for the enemy ships too!

Tux on the run (Action)
That beloved penguin from the Linux logo now has his very own game. Dash around on the ice, collect the coins and avoid the monsters.

Warp (Action)
Fly your plane over this enemy base and smash everything in your path!

Warp 1.5 (Action)
The sequel to Warp. More levels, bigger enemies, better graphics and cooler sound.

Wissetris (Puzzle)
If you’re fed up with Tetris clones, you might as well move on to the next game. This game is just like all the others, except that it’s in 3D.

Wordsearch (Tanke)
Find all the words in the crossword puzzles across all the categories. But do bear in mind that all the words are in English
