At Sofie’s Parents’, a new coffee shop in Aarhus

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Sofies Forældre, a new coffee and tea parlour set up on Frederiksgade opposite Die Bierstube (which, of course, took over Hafnia’s premises about a year ago).
The salon, which is housed in a former photocopying shop, is cosily furnished with old, deep armchairs, tables of various sizes, and a few cupboards filled with knick-knacks.
The menu is simple and focuses on the drinks, but offers an excellent selection of light dishes and sweet treats. For 50 kr, breakfast is served with coffee, juice, a home-baked roll with cheese and cold cuts, and a warm spandauer. An excellent deal.
The service is extremely attentive, and the food was served on an old coffee set whilst Sinatra played in the background.
All in all, a very cosy and relaxing place that we’ll definitely be visiting again.
