Heidi’s Beer Bar
iHeidi’s Bierbar is the latest attempt to put the old chocolate factory on Klostergade on the Aarhus nightclub map.
After a long spell as ‘Fabriken’, Heidi opened a bar on the premises modelled on a German après-ski venue, and judging by the number of guests in the first few weeks after opening, the people of Aarhus have taken up the invitation to come and dance on the tables.
The venue is spacious, but the layout is adapted to suit the number of guests. The bar largely delivers on its promises: draught beer, music of dubious quality and long tables that can withstand dancing.
The selection of beers is far better than the usual offerings of Erdinger and Paulaner. Indeed, there is a selection of German pilsners, including Spaten Münchner and Radeberger, as well as the otherwise rare Blanche de Namur on tap.
