EU Commissioner pushing for a standard connector for all mobile phones
A common standard for mobile chargers can’t come soon enough. The amount of electronic waste generated as a result is enormous. But there is good reason to stop there. MicroUSB (or USB in general) should be the standard for all small devices, and as power requirements increase slightly, 12 volts and perhaps PoE should be used more widely.
